Terms and Conditions for Ordering On-Line
We will gladly accept your VISA, MCARD, DISCOVER or AMERICAN EXPRESS card with the following information: your card number, 3 or 4 digit security code on the back of the card, expiration date, card holder’s name, billing address and current phone number. The minimum order to place "on-line" is $50.00. Any orders less than $50.00 are subject to a $10.00 handling fee.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PHONE, MAIL OR FAX ORDERS
We accept VISA, MCARD, DISCOVER OR AMERICAN EXPRESS card with required information as stated above. All mailed or faxed orders must be signed. If you choose to send a check or money order for payment please call us for shipping and handling charges and include the amount with your payment. After the money order/personal check clears the bank we will release the merchandise. A $25 charge, per occurrence, will be assessed on all returned checks.

Shipping Information
Freight is FOB Houston TX or one of our other warehouse locations. Due to different points of origin, your order may not ship together, which can result in multiple freight charges. UPS is our primary service provider or when size and weight exceed UPS limits, we will use a common carrier. Additionally, other providers may be used if you require special shipping arrangements. Please alert your customer service representative when placing your order and provide your shipping account number.
UPS Ground:
We guarantee to ship your order at the lowest possible cost using UPS Ground. Exact shipping charges will not be available until we receive and weigh your order.
UPS Overnight:
We guarantee to ship your order at the lowest possible cost using UPS Next day, Second Day or Third Day rates. Exact shipping charges will not be available until we receive and weigh your order.
Claims of damaged, defective or missing merchandise must be filed within 14 days of invoice. All merchandise must be returned in its original carton. All call tags and freight charges are the responsibility of the customer. For cartons damaged during shipping, do not remove contents until inspected by the driver at time of delivery . Be sure the driver notes damages on freight bill and signs his notation. For concealed damage, leave damaged merchandise in its original carton and hold for inspection. Notify UPS immediately (800-742-5877) so an inspection can be arranged and your claim can be processed with the applicable provider.
All non-printed in-stock orders placed during normal business hours will ship within 48 hours except, on Fridays after 1:00 p.m.. It will ship on the following business day (usually Monday).

Policies for Post Printing
POST PRINTING INFORMATION:
We offer two types of printing of converted stock products that are ideal for small quantities and quick turnarounds: Flexographic (ink printing) or Hot Stamping (a process in which foil is directly transferred by means of pressure and heat). The printing of “finished” items requires that our customers be aware of some complications associated with uneven surfaces and size/shape variations from one order to the next. Please adhere to the following recommendations and guidelines for a “quality” post printed job.
Registration: when printing or hot stamping small quantities with more than one color, please allow ¼ inch for registration between each color.
All orders must be placed in writing by fax, mail, e-mail or hand delivered and placed in “case” multiples. Minimum order is a case. All orders are shipped F.O.B. Houston, Texas, unless otherwise quoted. Normal production time after approval of artwork and receipt of 50% deposit is 1-2 weeks. Deposits on custom orders are non-refundable.
Delivery on post printed orders may vary seasonally. Call customer service for current lead times.
-A $50.00 “rush” charge (as well as any overnight charges) will be added to orders that must be shipped in less than 1 week, providing it can be accommodated into our production schedule.
-No returns on custom post printed merchandise will be accepted.
-There will be charges incurred by the customer if orders in progress are cancelled.
Abacus prefers black and white laser print camera ready artwork to size. If we provide any art or preparation of art, the customer will be billed at $40.00/hour or a minimum charge of $25.00. 2nd side imprint will incur a $25.00 bottom-flap folding charge when necessary and $65.00 additional charge per PMS ink color match. Slight variations of product and/or imprint color may occur from order to order.
PLATE CHARGES: minimum $75.00 [FLEXO - $1.85/sq.inch, HOT STAMP - $3.50/sq.inch] --Plate change - $25.00 Ink change - $25.00

Artwork Guidelines
It is important that artwork is submitted to ABACUS in any one of the following forms:
A.) Camera ready art/laser copies – clean, color separated art, ready to be made into negatives for plate making. NOTE: Photo-copies, faxes, and inkjet copies are not considered camera ready.
B.) Computer generated artwork – properly formatted on a CD or e-mailed to abacusrp@sbcglobal.net. Please include the following information:
• All screen and printer fonts
• All EPS, TIFF and scanned images (JPEG not accepted)
• Minimum resolution of 600 DPI at 100% of the image size
Macintosh format is strongly preferred in the current versions of the following software:
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Pagemaker
• Quark Express
• Macromedia0 Freehand
2. RECOMMENDATIONS:
A.) Borders, Frames and Boxes: placing a solid or continuous border around the artwork often causes air to be trapped between the layers of paper and creates a break in the border when the air bubble is forced out by the printing plate. We recommend placing a non-continuous border or box around the art. Any border or frame used on a shopping bag must be non-continuous.
B.) Reverses, Screens and Heavy Ink Coverage: the creases, folds and multiple layers (especially on shopping and gift bags) make printing large, heavy ink blocks or screens virtually impossible in view of our high quality standards. We cannot accept artwork which is finer than 85 line screen. Heavy ink coverage combined with fine lines will not always hot stamp satisfactorily. We will offer alternatives after seeing artwork.
